Affandi was an Indonesian visual artist who was born in 1907. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Food Stall under the Banyan Tree' sold at Borobudur Auction, Singapore 'Asian Contemporary & Modern Art' in 2012 for $1,172,419. There have been Numerous articles about Affandi, including 'Beyond The Scream: May Auction Highlights' written for MutualArt in 2012. The artist died in 1990.
