Swiss artist, Alberto Giacometti, had a distinctive style of painting, drawing and sculpture. Through his long, lean subjects and forms, and with his rough sketchwork and sculpting technique, Giacommetti established a look of his own. Although, his work was scruitinized and considered more expressionist than surrealist, Giacommetti played a major role in the development of the surrealist movement. His work "L'Homme qui marche I" recently set a record at Sotheby's, London, where it was sold for £65 million (US$104.3 million).
