 Alexandre-Évariste Fragonard (French, 1780 - 1850)
Alexandre-Évariste Fragonard was a 19th Century French visual artist who was born in 1780. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Portrait of Madame Recamier (1777- 1849), seated in a classical interior' sold at Sotheby's London 'Old Master & British Paintings' in 2011 for $86,914. There have been Several articles about Alexandre-Évariste Fragonard, including 'Art Runs in the Family' written by MutualArt's Christine Bednarz for MutualArt in 2012. The artist died in 1850.
