André Breton was a French visual artist who was born in 1896. André Breton has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the The Art Institute of Chicago and at the Centre Pompidou. Several works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'CHANSON-OBJET' sold at Sotheby's New York 'Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale' in 2012 for $866,500. There have been Numerous articles about André Breton, including 'Getty Research Institute looks at Mexico's Dyn Group' written by Christopher Knight for Los Angeles Times in 2013. The artist died in 1966.
