André Derain was a French visual artist who was born in 1880. André Derain has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Benaki Museum and at the National Gallery of Australia. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'ARBRES À COLLIOURE' sold at Sotheby's London 'Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale ' in 2010 for $24,173,095. There have been Numerous articles about André Derain, including ''A Taste for Modernism' review: artistry, flair' written by Kenneth Baker for San Francisco Chronicle in 2012.
