Banksy is a British visual artist who was born in 1974. Banksy has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, Downtown and at the The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Keep it Spotless' sold at Sotheby's New York '(AUCTION) RED' in 2008 for $1,870,000. There have been Numerous articles about Banksy, including 'Salvaged Banksy artwork goes on display in Detroit' written by Jamie Wetherbe for Los Angeles Times in 2012.
