Ben Shahn was a Lithuanian visual artist who was born in 1898. Ben Shahn has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Whitney Museum of American Art and at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Scabbies are Welcome' sold at Christie's New York 'FINE AMERICAN PAINTINGS' in 2006 for $262,400. There have been Numerous articles about Ben Shahn, including 'Puppets and politics' written by Tom Austin for Miami Herald in 2012. The artist died in 1969.
