Cai Guo Qiang is a contemporary Chinese visual artist who was born in 1957. Cai Guo Qiang has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Kroller-Muller Museum and at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Project For Extraterrestrials No.10, Project to Extend the Great Wall of China' sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong 'Contemporary Chinese Art (Part II)' in 2007 for $2,641,401. There have been Numerous articles about Cai Guo Qiang, including 'Don't Miss: April 14-20' written for The Wall Street Journal in 2012.
