Caravaggio was an Italian visual artist who was born in 1571. Caravaggio has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Museo Nacional del Prado and at the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'THE FLAYING OF MARSYAS' sold at Sotheby's London 'Old Master Paintings, Part One' in 2003 for $520,954. There have been Numerous articles about Caravaggio, including 'Caravaggio's Groupies' written by Rachel Wolff for The Wall Street Journal in 2012. The artist died in 1610.
