Charles Gaines is a contemporary British visual artist who was born in 1944. Charles Gaines has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Armand Hammer Museum of Art, University of California, Los Angeles and at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Several works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Shadows VII' sold at Christie's Los Angeles 'PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE 20TH CENTURY' in 2001.
