Claude Monet was a 19th Century French visual artist who was born in 1840. Claude Monet has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Tate Liverpool and at the Albertina Museum. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Le bassin aux nymphéas' sold at Christie's King Street 'IMPRESSIONIST AND MODERN ART EVENING SALE' in 2008 for $80,641,290. The artist died in 1926.
