Edvard Munch was a Norwegian visual artist who was born in 1863. Edvard Munch has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the National Galleries of Scotland and at the Tate Modern. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'The Scream' sold at Sotheby's New York 'Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale' in 2012 for $119,922,500. There have been Numerous articles about Edvard Munch, including ''The Scream' Fetches Record $119.9 Million in New York Auction' written by Kelly Crow for The Wall Street Journal in 2012. The artist died in 1944.
