Emile Bernard was a French visual artist who was born in 1868. Emile Bernard has had several gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the National Gallery of Australia and at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Madeleine au bois d'amour' sold at Christie's New York, Park Avenue 'IMPRESSIONIST AND NINETEENTH CENTURY ART' in 1998 for $497,500.
