Ettore Sottsass was a contemporary Italian visual artist who was born in 1917. Ettore Sottsass has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the The Museum of Modern Art and at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including ''Flavia' monumental set of five totems' sold at Phillips de Pury & Company, Chelsea 'Design & Design Art' in 2007 for $97,000. There have been Numerous articles about Ettore Sottsass, including 'A Wild and Crazy Movement Lives Again' written by J.s. Marcus for The Wall Street Journal in 2011. The artist died in 2007.
