Eugène Delacroix was a 19th Century French visual artist who was born in 1798. Eugène Delacroix has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Musée du Louvre and at the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Lion et lionne dans les montagnes' sold at Christie's King Street '19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART' in 2006 for $3,224,867. There have been Numerous articles about Eugène Delacroix, including 'Eugene Delacroix and Tahrir Square' written by Jonathan Jones for The Guardian in 2011. The artist died in 1863.
