Gustav Klimt was an Austrian visual artist who was born in 1862. Gustav Klimt has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Center and at the Albertina Museum. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'KIRCHE IN CASSONE (LANDSCHAFT MIT ZYPRESSEN) (CHURCH IN CASSONE - LANDSCAPE WITH CYPRESSES)' sold at Sotheby's London 'Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale' in 2010 for $42,846,461. There have been Numerous articles about Gustav Klimt, including 'Review: The Getty in a Vienna mood with Klimt, Messerschmidt shows' written by Christopher Knight for Los Angeles Times in 2012. The artist died in 1918.
