Jackson Pollock was a contemporary American visual artist who was born in 1912. Jackson Pollock has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Tate Modern and at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'NUMBER 4, 1951' sold at Sotheby's New York 'Contemporary Art Evening Auction' in 2012 for $40,402,500. There have been Numerous articles about Jackson Pollock, including 'Jackson Pollock's 'Mural' arrives at Getty's conservation lab' written by Christopher Knight for Los Angeles Times in 2012. The artist died in 1956.
