Jacques-Louis David was a 19th Century French visual artist who was born in 1748. Jacques-Louis David has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the State Hermitage Museum and at the National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C.. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Portrait of Ramel de Nogaret' sold at Christie's New York 'IMPORTANT OLD MASTER PAINTINGS' in 2008 for $7,209,000. There have been Numerous articles about Jacques-Louis David, including 'Don't forget France's artistic revolution' written by Jonathan Jones for The Guardian in 2010. The artist died in 1825.
