Jean-Honoré Fragonard was a French visual artist who was born in 1732. Jean-Honoré Fragonard has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Musée du Louvre and at the National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C.. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including ' Le Verrou ' sold at Christie's King Street 'Old Master Pictures' in 1999 for $8,487,107. There have been Numerous articles about Jean-Honoré Fragonard, including 'Art review: Three inaugural shows at LACMA's Resnick Pavilion' written for Los Angeles Times in 2010. The artist died in 1806.
