John Emms was a British visual artist who was born in 1843. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'The Kennel Club: Saladin, Witchcraft, Champion, Stately, Ladye, Dusty; Old Faithfuls: Sally, Graff..., Gorgius, Rockwood, Bell... (Two Works)' sold at Sotheby's New York '19th Century European Art' in 2012 for $554,500. There have been Several articles about John Emms, including 'Get ready for Bonhams' annual dog painting sale' written by Brook S. Mason for The Art Newspaper in 2011. The artist died in 1912.
