Joseph Mallord William Turner was a 19th Century British visual artist who was born in 1775. Joseph Mallord William Turner has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Tate Britain and at the Tate St. Ives. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'MODERN ROME - CAMPO VACCINO' sold at Sotheby's London 'Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale' in 2010 for $45,101,503. There have been Numerous articles about Joseph Mallord William Turner, including 'Magical, Layered, Transparent' written by Tom L. Freudenheim for The Wall Street Journal in 2011. The artist died in 1851.
