Julio González was a Spanish visual artist who was born in 1876. Julio González has had several gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Nasher Sculpture Center and at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Masque 'Ombre et lumière'' sold at Sotheby's London 'Looking Closely: A Private Collection' in 2011 for $7,472,824. There have been Numerous articles about Julio González, including 'Spring round-up' written by Andrew Lambirth for Spectator in 2012. The artist died in 1942.
