Li Wei is a Chinese photographer who was born in 1970. Li Wei has had several gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Shanghai and at the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Freedegree over 29th story, Soho, Beijing, 2003' sold at Sotheby's London 'Photographs' in 2008 for $21,903. There have been Several articles about Li Wei, including 'Defying Gravity: The impossible art of Li Wei' written by Lauren Meir for MutualArt in 2011.
