M.C. Escher was a Dutch visual artist who was born in 1898. M.C. Escher has had several gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Berkshire Museum and at the Akron Art Museum. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'METAMORPHOSIS II (BOOL /KIST/LOCHER/WIE 320)' sold at Sotheby's London 'Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints' in 2008 for $245,762. There have been Numerous articles about M.C. Escher, including 'Escher’s Journeys to and From Reality' written by Sylviane Gold for New York Times in 2010. The artist died in 1972.
