Matta was a Chilean visual artist who was born in 1911. Matta has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza and at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) Chicago . Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'La révolte des contraires' sold at Christie's New York 'Latin American Sale' in 2012 for $5,010,500. There have been Numerous articles about Matta, including 'SEE // Roberto Matta Meets Street Art' written by Sarah Bondoc for Artlog in 2012. The artist died in 2002.
