Nicolai Fechin was a Russian visual artist who was born in 1881. Nicolai Fechin has had several gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Frye Art Museum and at the State Tretyakov Gallery. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'The Little Cowboy' sold at MacDougall's 'Russian Classic and Contemporary Art' in 2010 for $10,856,294. There have been Numerous articles about Nicolai Fechin, including 'Painter Nicolai Fechin Returns to His Homeland' written by John Freedman for Moscow Times in 2012. The artist died in 1955.
