Peter Lanyon was a British visual artist who was born in 1918. Peter Lanyon has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Tate St. Ives and at the Fundación Joan Miró. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Headwind' sold at Christie's King Street '20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART' in 2004 for $482,902. There have been Numerous articles about Peter Lanyon, including 'Taking to the skies' written by Andrew Lambirth for Spectator in 2010. The artist died in 1964.
