Peter Paul Rubens was a Flemish visual artist who was born in 1577. Peter Paul Rubens has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna and at the Musée du Louvre. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'the massacre of the innocents' sold at Sotheby's London 'Old Master Paintings, Part One' in 2002 for $76,654,553. There have been Numerous articles about Peter Paul Rubens, including 'Rubens's Classical Spectacle, Rated R' written by Ellen Gamerman for The Wall Street Journal in 2012. The artist died in 1640.
