Pierre-Auguste Renoir was a 19th Century French visual artist who was born in 1841. Pierre-Auguste Renoir has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and at the Museo Nacional del Prado. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'DANS LES ROSES (MADAME LEON CLAPISSON)' sold at Sotheby's New York 'Impressionist & Modern Art, Part One' in 2003 for $23,528,000. There have been Numerous articles about Pierre-Auguste Renoir, including 'Stolen Renoir Is Recovered In Italy' written for Los Angeles Times in 2008. The artist died in 1919.
