Rockwell Kent was an American visual artist who was born in 1882. Rockwell Kent has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'BLUE DAY, GREENLAND' sold at Sotheby's New York 'American Paintings' in 2003 for $232,000. There have been Numerous articles about Rockwell Kent, including 'Art Review; A Look at Roots of American Modernism' written by Helen A. Harrison for New York Times in 2002. The artist died in 1971.
