Follow this artist
20th century American artist Roy Lichtenstein rose to prominence with his iconic pop-art works, and is considered a leading figure of the pop-art movement, along with Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, and others. The influence of comics and advertising is very clearly portrayed in his works, especially his famous "comic strip" style pieces, which were often parodies of modern subjects.
