Wolfgang Paalen was an Austrian visual artist who was born in 1905. Wolfgang Paalen has had several gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Marta Herford and at the Frey Norris Gallery. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Pays (paysage) médusé' sold at Christie's Paris 'Art Impressionniste Et Moderne' in 2009 for $563,156. There have been Several articles about Wolfgang Paalen, including 'Free-for-All Spirit Breezes Into a Vast Art Fair' written by Roberta Smith for New York Times in 2011. The artist died in 1959.
