About the Venue

Hagelstam Auctions is a well-known auction house in central Helsinki. Its premises in Bulevardi 9 A have become to be known as an active forum for people interested in art and antiques. About 6000 artefacts are being bought and sold through Hagelstam Auctions every year. Between April and May an international auction is held with a selection of high quality Finnish and international art: antique furniture, hand-woven rugs, silver from 18th and 19th centuries, jewellery, designer glassware etc. A similar auction also takes place between November and December. Most of the art sold at Hagelstam’s is of Finnish, Swedish or Russian origin. Fascinating art can also be found in Hagelstam’s seasonal auctions: there is a winter auction in February and a Christmas auction in December, just to mention a few examples. Our clientele has been continuously growing during recent years and several sale records have been obtained.
