About the Venue

Marcia Wood Gallery represents contemporary artists of exceptional merit, including emerging, mid-career and established artists. The consistent criteria for artists represented is a commitment to contributing work that is pertinent to the contemporary dialogue, with a powerful individual vision, a mastery of craft, and a depth of content. The gallery program includes painting, sculpture, photography, video and installation. The mission of the gallery is to assist notable young artists in the onset of their careers as well as to represent all of it’s artists with a commitment to a long-term vision and a specific focus on each artist’s work. Marcia Wood has been working in the arts in Atlanta since 1983 and Marcia Wood Gallery was founded in1995. The gallery participates in significant art fairs including Year 07, London, Pulse New York and Miami, Palm Beach, and Art Chicago, among others. Marcia Wood Gallery is currently in it’s third location in Atlanta, having re-located to Castleberry Hill in 2004, and participated in the renaissance of this historic urban neighborhood into an art district.
