A Time for Pride: The Faces of CLOCK
Diving into our diverse community partnerships, the Figge Art Museum has joined forces with the students of CLOCK, Inc. for a prideful summer installation in the museum’s Learn to Look Gallery. CLOCK is local organization, providing support and a safe environment for LGBT+ youth and beyond. The Figge Education staff has spent time working with this fantastic group through both outreach and museum visits, having wonderful interactions and exploring ideas of identity. We asked students to collaborate and share their creative thoughts and stories in this installation, as well as their pride! The installation also features two recent acquisitions by well-known LGBTQ artists Keith Haring Poster and Tseng Kwong Chi. Guests will be invited to reflect and participate in the community conversation in this small but impactful space.
