All Together!
Rooted in the spirit of collective celebration and inspired in part by the country’s recent 250th anniversary, the exhibition All Together! champions revelry and placemaking. It features artists from a range of creative practices including animation, design, fine art, illustration, and textiles whose speaks to communal and personal joy. Co-organized with public historian Cynthia Castañeda and artist and independent curator Melanie Walden, the exhibition explores the symbiotic relationship between celebration and resilience as seen within Southern California’s diverse cultural and artistic communities.
From grand festivals to quiet everyday moments, the images and artworks presented in the exhibition capture a spectrum of celebrations, both large and small, that reflect the nuance and diversity of creative and cultural expression. All Together! considers how notions of heritage, identity, self-expression, and belonging are established and reimagined in shared jubilation.
