Red Gate Gallery is pleased to present Australia : Exchange - Contemporary Australian Art in the Brian Wallace Collection. The works are created by Australian artists with diverse ethnic and cross-cultural backgrounds. This includes local Australian artists Carolyn Fitzpatrick, China de la Vega, Eli Turier, Gregory Pryor, Kim Vernon, Kim Westcott, Liz Coats, Michael Cartright, and Tony Scott, who have visited or worked in China at different times and have focused on the phenomenon of cultural integration in the Asia-Pacific region; John Young, Pamela See, and Laurens Tan, whose personal experiences are influenced by an immigrant society and continuously explore the relationships of geopolitical identity and cultural conflict; Chinese-Australian artists Shen Shaomin and Guan Wei, who focus on international issues such as identity recognition and the climate crisis, have achieved significant accomplishments.
