We will be exhibiting a range of work throughout October 2018 at our spectacular new venue in the Surrey Hills, Marylands. Marylands has been described as a 1930’s Art Deco masterpiece by the renowned architect Oliver Hill (1887-1968), a close friend of Sir Edwin Lutyens. The house is set high in the surrey hills, with views to the South Downs, Lancing College and Chactonbury Ring. Using locally sourced stone and wood with dramatic Swedish glazed pantile roof tiles, Marylands is a fusion of Scottish modernism with Mediterranean, Moorish and arts & craft influences.Gertrude Jekyll advised on planting The courtyards and gardens. With its unique architecture, interior and setting, Marylands has been used for filming Poirot, Maddona’s film “W.E”. about the abdication crisis, The Crown and recently with Renee Zelwegger and Rufus Sewell in “Judy” about the life of Judy Garland.
