From Rembrandt to Freud: The Art of Etching

The process of etching has been used for centuries to create distinctive and enduring original prints. This exhibition explores the variety of effects and techniques that can be achieved in a range of etchings in the permanent collection spanning from the 17th century to the present day, including Rembrandt van Rijn, Giandomenico Tiepolo, JAM Whistler, Walter Sickert, Graham Sutherland, Henry Moore, Ben Nicholson and Lucian Freud.
