Oct 04, 2019 - Nov 04, 2019

East Hampton, NY – Tripoli Gallery is pleased to present Gift Shop, the latest exhibition in its recent series of pop-ups spanning Bridgehampton to Montauk. Generously hosted by GABIMODE in East Hampton, Gift Shop will highlight the diverse work of artists of the gallery. Featuring editioned prints, furniture design, jewelry, hats, clothes, books, and more, artists will include Alice Aycock, Boon Shiiva Blac, Sylvia Channing, Nick Cohen, Trefny Dix, Sabra Moon Elliot, Fallen Broken Street, Kira Foley, Saskia Friedrich, Kurt Gumaer, Mary Heilmann, Bengt Hokanson, Judith Hudson, Yung Jake, Benjamin Keating, Ashley Koral, Robyn Lea, Roy Lichtenstein, Tin Ojeda, Miles Partington, Terry Patterson, Genevieve Hudson-Price, Robert Rauschenberg, James Rosenquist, Nick Weber, Nico Yektai and more to be announced.

This past month, Tripoli Gallery has begun a series of pop-up exhibitions that have formed around the various sites for which they are curated. By allowing the spaces to dictate the shows, each location creates a unique exhibition experience by bringing artworks out of the gallery setting and into new contexts. The September pop-up exhibitions include Miles Partington: Below the Storm at Montauk Oceans Institute, HANGAR: Vahakn Arslanian and Lauren West in Hangar 11 at the East Hampton Airport, and a container at the September Art Show at The Bridge Golf Club featuring Sabra Moon Elliot, Kurt Gumaer, and Mary Heilmann.

Next in the pop-up series, Gift Shop presents an expansive array of artworks and objects that are often part of an edition or series. Alongside works by contemporary artists, the exhibition reintroduces a screenprint from a portfolio by Robert Rauschenberg. Dated 1970, the print is composed of collaged newspaper clippings arranged within a square format with pencil marks drawn by the artist.
