Horst Gottschalk: Personal Myths

Jun 27, 2015 - Sep 20, 2015
German-born Gottschalk was forced to join The Hitler Youth at age eight, ending up in the German Army in World War II. This exhibit reflects his artistic journey, finding personal expression, escape, strength, and joy by immersing himself in the contemporary art movements of his day. Gottschalk moved to Bainbridge Island with his wife Barbara in 1989 and passed away in 1998.
