The SONGEUN Art Award was established in 2001 by the SONGEUN Art and Cultural Foundation with the aim of nurturing and supporting the creative talents of emerging Korean artists through an annual open call and selection process. The recipient of the Grand Prize is awarded a cash prize as well as the opportunity to participate in the SeMA Residency program. In addition, the artist’s works are acquired into the permanent collections of SONGEUN Art and Cultural Foundation and Seoul Museum of Art, with support from the SONGEUN Art and Cultural Foundation and Cartier Korea. Award recipients are also given the opportunity to present a solo exhibition at SONGEUN within three years of receiving the prize. In June 2026, SONGEUN proudly presents Endoskopeia, a solo exhibition by Hyejoo Jun, recipient of the Grand Prize of the 22nd SONGEUN Art Award.
