Picasso and El Greco
On the occasion of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Picasso’s death, the Prado Museum will show in November a selection of works by the Malaga-born artist together with works by El Greco in an exhibition curated by Carmen Giménez. In Picasso’s work, who appears as a copyist in the records of this museum, the influence of authors such as Velázquez and Greco himself is evident, the latter being capital in understanding the first part of the painter's career, between the blue period and cubism.
