Galerie Alexis Pentcheff is pleased to announce its forthcoming exhibition dedicated to erotic art from June 7 to July 13 in Marseille. Playful and risqué, this artistic proposal will explore the different paths of desire and lust from the Second Century to the present day. With works by leading figures of modern art such as Renoir, De Chirico, Matisse, Kisling, Degas and Grosz, a rare antique mosaic, but also an exceptional ensemble of watercolors from the 19th century, X-rays by Wim Delvoye, Ben Vautier’s «Sex Maniac» paintings and objects, and original works by three young artists Petites Luxures, Marie Donnève and Guillaume Cavalier, this multi-disciplinary exhibition aims to draw new perspectives on eroticism and the expression of sexuality over the centuries.
