Rembrandt and Degas Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man

Feb 23, 2012 - May 20, 2012
Although it is well known that Edgar Degas was inspired by Rembrandt, whose etchings he saw when he was in Rome as a young artist studying the Old Masters, this exhibition is the first to explore the phenomenon. On view will be a series of self-portraits of the two artists when they were both starting out on their illustrious careers.
