2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. The DAI will recognize this remarkable achievement by showcasing the strange and intriguing story of The Moon Museum. Featuring designs by six artists, including Andy Warhol, Claes Oldenburg, and Robert Rauschenberg, The Moon Museum is a tiny wafer made in a small edition, one of which is believed to have been left on the moon during the Apollo 12 mission! Featured on the PBS series History Detectives, The Moon Museum is a compelling story that crosses art and space. The Focus Exhibition will also include other works of art related to the moon and the Apollo missions.
