Welcome to the exhibition that looks back at Andy Warhol’s legendary first solo show at a museum, at Moderna Museet in 1968. ”Warhol 1968” is studying how the exhibition was received in view of the leftist political climate at the time and explaining the complexity of Warhol’s oeuvre in relation to the attempt on his life later that year. Photographs, quotes, reviews and films from the 1968 exhibition are shown together with some 50 works by Warhol from the Moderna Museet collection.
