‘Traces’ represents a  body of work of architecture photography that takes  the viewer around the world – yet with a common theme weaving through the varied images. In ‘Traces’ Edmund Sumner pursues a creative path that takes the viewer beyond mere visually  recording aesthetic or functional aspects of buildings and interiors.

Edmund Sumner photos artfully peel back invisible and visible layers to reveal traces – traces of cultural identity, spiritual spheres as much as historical milestones. – thus uniquely creating aesthetic histograms

The images in the ‘Traces’ collection add a metaphysical dimension to architecture photography – acting as a mirror,  which reflects the journey we have been on and what we have become.
