Art & Horse Racing Gallery is delighted to announce our exhibition of Anna Pugh paintings spanning the arc of her career from the earlier works to present day showing the apex of her incomparably unique and wonderful style.
Over the impressive length of her career Anna’s paintings have been much sought after and are treasured pieces in private collections throughout the world. Rarely have her works come back into circulation.
Anna’s paintings have that innate quality of drawing the viewer in to a narrative within the painting; larger than life animals frolic in surreal landscapes steeped with oversized blossoms and capering insect, and characters caught in a moment. We, the observer, are being treated to a glimpse of an unfolding story.
Her paintings, like those of Rousseau and Chagall, show the natural world enlivened by touches of the surreal.
