A superb trial proof impression (one of only two such proofs recorded by the Picasso Project), apart from the 6 proofs of Mourlot’s first state, and the 6 proofs and signed and numbered Edition of 50 of Mourlot’s second and final state (and apart from the poster Edition), annotated in pencil in the margin lower left “188 entre 1 et 2 etat”. Commissioned as the illustration for a poster advertising the 1950 International Youth Conference to Ban Atomic Weapons. Published by the review Les Partisans de la Paix; printed at Atelier Fernand Mourlot, Paris.
